PRACTICES & PRAYERS FOR BEIRUT
SUBMITTED BY SARIDA BROWN, VICE PRESIDENT, INAYATIYYA HEALING EUROPE

We have woken to the vast tragedy in Beirut, one that calls to our living hearts to respond with our living stream of prayer. May we unite across our world in Life’s prayer to heal and protect and console the Lebanese people (1), and to pray for those who have died, for the opening of their pathway into eternal life (2).

1. Ya Hafiz – Ya Rahman – Ya Wahhab

Ya Hafiz (pronounced ha-FEEZ) – the One who protects, who enfolds everything in divine protection, including from fear, despair, and hopelessness.
Ya Rahman (pronounced rahMAAN) – the Most Merciful and Compassionate, the One who is infinite compassion
Ya Wahhab (pronounced wahHAAB) –the One who bestows blessings, whose blessings flow continually and universally as a stream from the divine source

Also, as a fikr, thinking just the word on the breath: inhale ‘Hafiz’, hold ‘Rahman’, exhale ‘Wahhab’

2. In Pir Zia’s prayer of 2014 for the illumination of the pathways of the deceased: Ya Mu’id – Ya Muhyi – Ya Ba’ith

Ya Mu’id (pronounced mu-EED) – the Restorer, for the reintegration of life-field
Ya Muhyi (pronounced MUH-yee) – the Revivifier, for renewal of vital spirit
Ya Ba’ith (pronounced BAA-‘ith) – the Resurrector, identity restored, transformed
