New Netflix Documentary Featuring Inayati Order Representative, Hafiz Decker

November 11, 2019

Our very own Hafiz Decker, a long-time Inayati Order teacher and guide from Summerland, California, is featured in the new documentary, To Be of Service, released by Netflix on Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2019.

Josh Aronson’s (Academy Award Nominee) powerful and groundbreaking documentary To Be Of Service is an emotional yet clear-eyed view of the great benefits of service dogs supporting veterans’ struggles with PTSD. Many veterans have shared that because of what happened during their war they believe that God has abandoned them and that they are no longer acceptable to God. The wonderful unconditional love the dogs freely give awakens the love in the veteran and a greater love for the veterans themselves.

Soon veterans are able to communicate that love in their relationships, within their families, and within the larger community. The film is 90 minutes and not for children. Hafiz has three brief (20 seconds each) appearances in the film.
